The "Bayonetta" series is an action-packed game series full of hack and slashes. It's developed by Platinum Games and directed by Hideki Kamiya who is currently on Twitter and does often respond to fan tweets. The game holds strong influence from mythology, particularly Scandinavian mythology. Ever since the first Bayonetta game was released in 2009, it's become an international hit sparking controversy for feminists where people wonder if the title character is a good role model for women. I think she is and is a pretty god-damn awesome one at that.

Good news for gamers everywhere! It's been confirmed that Bayonetta 3 is under development. The "Bayonetta" series has been very successful. Bayonetta 1 has been released on multiple platforms. "Bayonetta" was also an additional DLC character in Super Smash Bros as she was one of the top choices by the people, and then ended up being one of the most powerful characters on the roster.

With Bayonetta 2 being exclusive to the WiiU, many fans still had hope that there would be a Bayonetta 3, and now it's confirmed to be true. This is great news for both gaming and feminism.

Why do say both? Simple!

There's no doubt that Bayonetta is a sex icon in the gaming world. She's considered over-sexualized, but I like to rephrase this as body confident. Because it's very clear that she is confident in her body and she loves her body and is not afraid to show it. She radiates with confidence even without the obvious fan-service, she is still a well-rounded character with her own powers and beliefs.

I think that Bayonetta will be around for many years to come. Especially if Bayonetta 3 becomes a success. I have a feeling that it will be. I think there's a good chance that a lot of the old characters will be back like Dante, Rodin and Jeanne. And speaking of Jeanne, the dynamic between Jeanne and Bayonetta remains one of my favourite parts of the game. In the first game they're fighting against each other, in the second game they're on glamorous shopping trips but are still able to fight when necessary. It makes me wonder what Jeanne and Bayonetta will be up to next with each other.

We don't know much about Bayonetta 3 other than it's currently in development and that there are so many ideas going on at the moment. I, like the rest of the fanbase, have high hopes that it will be a fantastic game that will carry on the "Bayonetta" legacy and I think she will return as a playable character in Super Smash Brothers. There are hints of what Bayonetta 3 will be like when you look through the tweets of some of the staff behind "Bayonetta," but it wouldn't surprise me if there's a new mechanic or something introduced that will blow people's minds. On the other hand, I'm sure the nostalgia freaks will go livid and say that first is best, but I think both games so far have been amazing: I don't really prefer one over the over.

I've said it many times, and I'll say it again. Knowing and believing that "Bayonetta's" title character is a great role model for women makes me hyped for the third installment. More people will be able to see Bayonetta in all her glory. I don't mean that in a sexual way, I mean it in an action-packed way. I'm expecting lots of fun quests, beautiful characters and graphics and wonderfully action-driven gameplay. Now I have a reason to buy the Nintendo Switch and I think the Nintendo Switch will be an ideal platform for the new "Bayonetta" game. Also loving how the last two games is being ported onto the switch too. The more platforms the game can get on the better recognition it will get.
