With the summer quickly approaching, you might be a high schooler who will have a lot more time off to pour into video games, or you might just want some new games to play, but one of the major problems is the price for triple A games rising by the day with add on DLC, season passes, and loot boxes your wallet might just get overwhelmed—and for good reason. That's why I have compiled a list of great video games for $30 or under. To make sure the games I have compiled on my list or actually good games, I will cite sources like IGN, Metacritic, and blogs dedicated to that game. I will also cite where to get the game at the price like Amazon.com or Wal-mart.com. If you do buy your games from a brick and mortar store, I would suggest calling them up and asking if the game you want is in stock if you want to save the hassle of buying it offline. I will also include the file size for the games to make sure no one buys a huge game and soon realizes they have to delete a game or two.

'Bioshock: The Collection'—$25.99 Target.com & Amazon

One of the most critically acclaimed game trilogies of the twenty first century has been remastered in full, beautiful 1080p, 60fps. In this collection pack, you will get Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite, plus all single player DLC. The games in total have an average score of 9.4 from IGN and a metascore of 84 form 17 critics, and a user score of 8.6 from 95 people. Whether you haven't played a Bioshock game or want to revisit the game in preparation for Bioshock 4 everybody will have a great time with this collection of games. File size is 70 gigabytes in total.

'Rise of the Tomb Raider'—$27.95 Xbox One, $29.95 PS4; Amazon

With its combination of satisfying puzzles, combat, and leveling up system wrapped up altogether with a great story makes this one of the best games from the eighth generation of consoles. IGN has rated this game a 9.3/10. File size for this game is 20.47 gigabytes.

'Mad Max'—$25; Amazon

Most video games that are based on a TV show or movie are usually just rip offs of popular games and are only made to cash in on the success of the movie. Mad Max is a surprisingly good game. If you like Mad Max: Fury Road you are going to have a blast playing this game. There is nothing like roaring across the wasteland blowing up cars, jumping out, collecting resources, and then jumping back in and putting the pedal to the medal! IGN has given this game a 8.4/10 and it has a metascore of 7.8 from 1189 users. The file size for this game is 31 gigabytes.

'Mortal Kombat XL'—$26.99 Xbox One, $22.97 PS4; Amazon

One of the greatest fighting games of all time has come to the eighth generation of consoles. With its blend of old and new styles of gameplay and the addition of new character, arenas, and moves, that makes this a great game to play with a friend or online to show off how great you are. This game has a metascore of 85 from 12 critics. IGN has given this game a score of 8.4/10. The file size for this game is 33.5 gigabytes on the PS4 and 35.04 gigabytes on the Xbox one.

'Assassin's Creed Origins'—$29.99 Amazon and Best Buy

The game people are claiming saved the Assassin's Creed franchise and is beloved by gamers, critics, and casual players. The game has had a massive price drop since its October 2017 release priced at the time $60. The game takes place in ancient Egypt and has you explore a great big open world. IGN has given this game a 9/10 and the game has 9/10 on Steam. If you want to explore ancient Egypt like never before, this is your game. File size for this game is around 42.3 gigabytes.

I hope this list has helped you and, if it has, it would be greatly appreciated if you shared this list with friends, family, and fellow gamers because I think we could all use a deal or two on great video games.
