Togetic Is One Hard Catch As Second Generation Comes To 'Pokémon Go'
This game is known to showcase extremely elusive Pokémon, such as the illusory pocket monster Togetic.
If there's one game that's captivated fans, it's undoubtedly Pokémon Go, a game that broke all sorts of records around the world, brought friends together and even helped people make new ones. It's through #PokemonGo that this franchise was introduced to a new platform outside of the #3DS, with its augmented reality experience.
This game is also known to showcase extremely elusive Pokémon. One such illusory pocket monster is Togetic, who remains difficult to catch even with the latest update. So how rare is this little bugger?
Pokémon Go's Togetic Is As Rare As Some First Gen Pokémon
According to Reddit's The Silph Road — the renowned group that has been data mining Pokémon Go since its launch — #Togetic remains extremely uncommon. With the group having gone through the game's "Master File," Pokémon Go’s rarest catch to date is sitting around 5 percent. Although this is a higher percentage than what it previously was, this Pokémon is still illusive.
If you remember trying to catch #Dragonite, Charizard, Blastoise or Venusaur, you'll know that each of them had about a 4 percent capture rate, which currently puts Togetic about on par with them.
When Togetic first launched, it sat around a 0 percent chance of capture, making it the most difficult Pokémon to obtain. That being said, there is still a great way to get a Togetic if players have the patience.
You Can Get Togetic By Evolving Togepi
If you've been fortunate enough to get Togepi from Pokémon Eggs, you're one lucky person. And you know what that means? You can now use that copious amount of candy you've been storing up for Togepi in order to get that Togetic you've always wanted.
Sadly, getting Togetic in Pokémon Go is still a crapshoot and not one that you'll want to go through if you're currently suffering through inclement weather. However, if you are in line already for a #NintendoSwitch and trying to keep warm, this might be right up your alley.
