Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game for Steam, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and coming soon to mobile and Nintendo Switch. All that might sound a little hard to understand, but what the game is, is a lot of fun. One player plays as a killer, and four other players take on the role of survivors. The survivors need to work to restore power to five generators located around a randomly selected map in order to power an exit gate and leave the map. The killer tries to hook the survivors on a meat hook so that the ruler of this world, The Entity can feed on them. In the game both survivors and killers have an ever-growing library of perks to choose from to help them either escape or kill. For this story I am going to be covering some of my favorite survivor perks, as well as showing you how to use them.

The first perk we will look at will be Urban Evasion.

Urban Evasion is one of Nea's perks.

Why is Urban Evasion one of my favorite perks? I like to be sneaky most of the time. Moving fast under the fog or to and from cover. Urban Evasion lets a survivor move while crouching at the same speed as walking.

You can move with stealth quickly around trees right under the killer's nose, and they will never know you were there.

In the clip below I use Urban Evasion to move around the map hidden by thick mist.

The 2nd perk will talk about is Sprint Burst.

Sprint Burst is one of Meg's perks.

Sprint Burst as saved my skin so many times. It is one of my absolute favorite survivor perks to use. With Sprint burst, you can make a distance between you and the killer. Most killers hate this perk, and with good reason. It destroys your morale as a killer when you swing thinking that you have that hit and the survivor zooms away. Pair this with other perks like Lightweight, Urban Evasion, Decisive Strike, and Hope just to name a few, and you have a build sure to make a killer think about raging and disconnecting. In the clip below you will see the power of a well-timed Sprint Burst

Next, we will talk about two perks that I almost always use together. The first being Deliverance.

Deliverance is one of Adam's perks.

Deliverance is pure gold come end of game. Here is how it works, If you can get safe unhook, meaning that the survivor you unhooked doesn't go back down before ten seconds has passed, then Deliverance is activated. Once the perk has activated, and you are placed on a hook, as long as it is your first time being hooked, you are guaranteed to be able to unhook yourself. This is giant during the end game part of a game. Pair this with Flip Flop, DS, Breakdown, or Dead Hard, and you give yourself time to get to the gate. In the clip below you will see what I mean.

Decisive Strike (DS) is the 2nd of the two I mentioned above.

Decisive Strike is a Laurie perk.

If you want to make a killer so mad they throw their controller across the room, or start a stream of four letter words that would make a trucker blush, then just add Decisive Strike to your build. Decisive Strike, more commonly called DS by the Dead by Daylight community, is a perk that allows a survivor a chance at getting off of the killer's shoulder, and escaping the killer after a short stun. After a survivor is either rescued by a fellow survivor, or gets himself or herself off of a hook by either kobe or Deliverance, Decisive Strike is activated. If during the next 40/50/60 seconds the killer knocks the survivor back down, they will get a chance at a skill check. If the survivor hits the skill check, the killer drops the survivor and the killer is stunned. You will see me use the Deliverance and Decisive Strike combo in the clip below.

Next we will go over Iron Will.

Iron Will is one of Jake's perks.

Iron Will is used by so many high ranked survivors and for good reason. If you are hurt, Iron Will at level three makes it so you make no sounds of pain. This makes the hunt so much harder for a killer. As killer so much of what you do is about being able to hear a survivor. With Iron Will an injured survivor can be right beside of you, and you will not hear them as in the clip below, This Wraith had no idea that I didn't run away from him. Just look at how confused he was after I hit him with the Decisive Strike to free myself.

The last perk we will go over today is We'll Make It.

Dead by Daylight is for the most part a game of time management. Both killers and survivors need to get their jobs done fast. We'll Make It is last on this list, but is just as good of a perk as any listed above. How it works is like this. After you rescue a survivor from a hook for the next 30-90 seconds any healing that you do is increased by 100 percent, meaning that you heal a lot faster. Check out the clip below,

There you have it, six of my favorite survivor perks to use in Dead by Daylight. There are so many more great perks to use. What combos do you like to use?
