Action-survival video game Ark: Survival Evolved is one of the most popular open-world free-roamers out at the moment. Released at the tail end of 2016, a big part of its appeal is that it requires the player to build a fortress while keeping dinosaurs at bay, with the character able to hunt, capture and kill said dinosaurs at your leisure.
One fan has gone above and beyond, customizing Ark: Survival Evolved to host Pokémon instead of the typical dinosaurs included in the game. So instead of hunting, capturing and riding triceratops or Utahraptors, the new mod allows the player to do all of this — with their favorite #Pokemon.
So far, a few fan favorites have been added to the playable Pokémon in Ark: Survival Evolved, but more are on their way. There's even a #Steam forum where you can request one of your favorite pocket monsters be converted for play. Check out a walk-through of the Pokémon-themed game below.
The Mewtwo in Ark are well-formatted and appear to interact similarly to the dinosaurs in the original #openworld game, though we should expect to see some insane battles waged when more users get a hold of the Poké mod. One gamer even went as far as to create a rendition of #Mewtwo to host a battle with other flying Mewtwo like Charizard.
