Constantly evolving, the adventure begins now.

For those who have just been introduced to the DT universe I hope to be able to give a decent overview of the game mechanics in its current state.

For those who have read my original piece, you will all know that much has changed since and that it's about time something was done to replace it, so here goes...

Delta T is one of the latest augmented reality games known to be in development and is brought to us by Empower Labs. It's story starts far in the future with four MegaCorporations waging an endless war upon each other; a war that threatened the existence of all mankind. As a last resort, the MegaCorps began to manipulate time. Sending information and resources into the past in vain attempts to erase their enemies from history.

To get you going, the main game element is to go out planting cores to give the energy you will need to upgrade them, as well as create the weapons needed to attack and capture your enemies cores. In turn, lowering the level of or neutralising an enemy core will give you the Time Credits (TC) needed to upgrade your own cores to make them harder to kill. You will also get mods as loot from capturing cores that can be applied to mod slots for an energy cost to further boost defences.

At level four you get the option to switch MC, if you feel the need or desire to. Generally, people do this if there are no local enemies to stop game play from becoming stagnant.

Then at level five you will be able to create or join a clan and build bases to add to clusters for global battles against clans from other MegaCorps. To create a clan you must know of two other players to act as founder with you. Locally, this can often be tough to accomplish, so if you shout out in global chats, someone will generally be happy to invite you to join their clan. Planting bases and linking them together creates clusters that get locked into battle when an enemy puts an Xmod onto one of your clan's bases. The more outbound links to other bases from the point the cluster battle is initiated, the higher the cluster strength (CS). Whichever cluster has the highest CS by the end of the 48 hr window wins the battle. These cluster battles also add to the global dominance score of your MC; the higher the score at the end of the cycle, the more powerful the MC is scored as.

Bases can be levelled up and modded just like cores, but can actually be destroyed by direct attack, not just neutralised. The other difference is that bases need cores linked to power them. Each time a base is levelled up, it will need higher levels and/or more cores to keep them powered and on the map.

To attack cores and bases, you are given two weapon types: point to point (P2P) and area of effect (AOE). Currently there are three different P2P weapons and one AOE. The P2P weapons are ballistic missiles, earthers and morphs. Ballistics cause direct damage and earthers cause damage over time. Whereas, morph is chance-based and can temporarily morph an enemy core to a different MC or convert a mod into a different mod. EMP bombs are the only AOE weapon and, as its type suggests, it damages all cores and bases within its area of effect.

As stated above, you can generate weapons as well as gain items from loot. But you can also gather items by taking advantage of the newly revamped mining system. With the new system, once you enter mining mode, all cores/bases are lost from view and circular mining zones appear. You go to these zones and collect all the crates you can within the area before the timer runs out.

The items that can be collected from mining are weapons, mods, resources, and blue prints. These blueprints are one use only and, along with a selection of the three available resources, are used to make mods and weapons.

On top of mining and generating items, there is in fact an in-game trading system for people to sell the items they have generated/gathered. Currently out-of-game chat is used to facilitate trading, but it is hoped to be integrated into the app at some time.
