'League of Legends': What Happens When You Hit Level 1000?

Level 1000 on 'League of Legends'

For many of us, it's crazy to think that someone would hit level 1000, but it's happened. A challenger level player has reached the milestone and has a crazy good looking emblem as shown above, and the Chinese league player took just six months to reach the milestone. The player, whose name translates roughly to BigBigBigWatermelon, plays on a small server only accessible to Chinese players and is challenger tier.

One player is also close to level 1000 on the EUW (Europe West) server; however, it is unclear whether any other Chinese players are, as there is a chance they are.

Previously levels were capped when players reached the ranked level of 30; however, they have since uncapped them, hence why many of us are higher than level 30.

To reach level 1000, it would take over 2,000,000 (2 million) experience points, which is a ridiculous figure. However, you can always visit the store with some riot points and purchase some boosts to help you level up faster, but that does come at a cost.

For most of us, we're still collecting champions as we climb the levels. Of course this summoner already has every champion sitting alongside 999k (nine hundred and ninety nine thousand) blue essence, meaning the champion capsule would have been irrelevant.

Despite being level 1000, the summoner was only honour level four, but it shows how great dedication can lead to rewards as this guy is a very skilled league player. For me, on the other hand, I'm struggling to stay in silver and I'm only level 55 (for now), but there's always time to climb.

After level 250, the experience needed doesn't really increase, meaning that you can fly through the levels at the same speed and get past level 1000 much quicker than it seems so the grind isn't so bad; however, for many (including myself) level 250 is a long way off. In fact, nearly 5x the level I'm currently at.

As well as levels, League of Legends now gives you a unique emote based on how many hours played; you get one for 500 hours, 1500 hours, and 2500 hours and each are unique and can be used in game for your teammates to see.

League of Legends is currently one of the most popular games. For those that don't play it, Riot describes it as: "a fast-paced, competitive online game that blends the speed and intensity of an RTS with RPG elements. Two teams of powerful champions, each with a unique design and playstyle, battle head-to-head across multiple battlefields and game modes." League of Legends is also free and only available on PC.

Wiki describes the game League of Legends as: "a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows and macOS. The game follows a freemium model and is supported by microtransactions, and was inspired by the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne mod, "Defense of the Ancients." In League of Legends, players assume the role of an unseen "summoner" that controls a "champion" with unique abilities and battle against a team of other players or computer-controlled champions. The goal is usually to destroy the opposing team's "nexus," a structure which lies at the heart of a base protected by defensive structures, although other distinct game modes exist as well. Each League of Legends match is discrete, with all champions starting off fairly weak but increasing in strength by accumulating items and experience over the course of the game."
