Introduction

A lot of people seemed to have enjoyed the Zachary x Hannah guide, so I've decided to write some more guides for the game. Ashton x Isabella is one of the most popular pairings in this small, but growing fandom and it's easy to see why. They have some brilliant chemistry together and heart-warming scenes that it's easy to ship them as best friends or as lovers. The romantic route for these two is one of the most awarding for those who love romance.

These romance routes are a rare thing in horror games, and I think it helps compliment the character driven tone of the game. When I think about it, we're pretty lucky to have romance options in a horror game. There's certainly none in many horror games I've played.

You can play Hannah, Zachary, Marianne, Rebecca and Luke's chapter anyway you want, but depending on Zachary and Rebecca's fates, there may be more or less choices available. But if you choose every option that boosts Ashton and Isabella's relationship, you should still be able to max it to unlock the romance route.

This guide will contain spoilers for the game and the choices will be put in bold.

Isabella's Chapter

Isabella has a lot going on. With her father ill, struggling to pay rent and trying to send money to her big family back home, she's living off instant noodles. She's in dire need of a miracle.

Her instant noodles days are destined to come to an end when she is assigned to sell a mansion to socialites, Hannah and Luke Wright. She finds a letter in the attic then things go back to worse with an encounter of a ghost that's out to kill her.

After leaving the mansion and when she's in town with Ashton. He's asking her about work, and this will be when the first question between Ashton and Isabella will trigger. Choose to change the subject.

Once Ashton and Isabella meet up with the rest of the Luxbourne Quartet gang, for Zachary's movie. Isabella is still shaken up over the events from the mansion is given the choice to stay at home or stay for the movie.

Stay for the movie. It lowers Isabella's relationship with Becca a lot, but that can easily be boosted in Rebecca's chapter. It boosts Zachary's and Ashton's relationship by one point. Bare in mind, if you are trying to go for an Ashbecca route that it cuts Rebecca's relationship with Ashton down to one point.

During the movie, agree to Ashton to meet with the professor. During the meeting with Professor Clark pick I know you're trying to help when triggered.

The next one is a bit of a trick one. It's tripped me up a few times as they both sound okay. In the park tell Ashton, you're not bad after all for an extra two points. It also triggers a cute little cut-scene where Isabella kisses him on the cheek.

Isabella is shaken by the news that her friend Rose Cooper is brutally murdered. You'll be given a choice to stay at home or go to work. Skipping work is the key to Isabella's downfall. If you chose to stay at home, you'll get a phone call from Rebecca inviting you to meet her or to stay at home. Staying at home leads to her death and meeting up with Rebecca unlocks the coma route.

So heigh ho! Heigh ho! It's off to work we go. Complete the QTE and Isabella lives. You can skip the QTE in the options menu.

Ashton's Chapter

Ashton is still working on his biggest case yet and with the help of Isabella he manages to get into her work place in the hope of getting some work done. We learn that despite Isabella's best efforts in sending money, that it wasn't enough and her father passed away.

Ashton gets a choice between telling her to just stay busy or to tell more about him. Telling her just to stay busy is a dickish move. So pick tell me about him.

Later, the QTE in the elevator is triggered. Some consider this as one of the hardest and tense moments from the game. This one took me several times to complete.

When they're at Isabella's place, she's cooking and offers Ashton some food. Take her offer.

If Zachary dies on your route, Ashton will get a call to say that he's been arrested and taken into police custody. After leaving the station, tell Isabella: I know damn it!

If both Zachary and Rebecca are dead it unlocks a CGI with Ashton comforting Isabella near Rebecca's corpse. Deaths both Ashton and Isabella take very close to heart.

If Isabella and Rebecca are alive, the two of them will have an argument in the bar and Ashton will have to pick a side. Because of this choice it is impossible to have both Isabella and Rebecca's relationship with Ashton maxed out. So it's hard to say which one gets priority without cheating or hacking.

Choose to take Isabella's side and when she suggests to go back to the mansion make Ashton tell her, I can't let you do that.

If all of this is done, you should be able to trigger Ashton's confession in the attic after zapping the butler.

In the scene where Luke and Ashton have each other at gun point, you can either have Luke disarm him or beg him to listen. Choosing to disarm Luke will trigger Ashton's death were he shoots Luke's hands. The ghost becomes enraged and will aim the pole at the person Ashton has the highest affection with (either Isabella, Zachary or Rebecca) and will sacrifice himself for that person. It's one of the most heart-wrenching moments from the game and Ashton's death is key for the true ending. Coincidentally, only the ones that can mourn for Ashton are the ones that survive in the true ending.

To have Ashton and Isabella's happy ending, chose beg him to listen and the chapter will close. Wind through Luke's chapter and viola, you should unlock the Ashbella epilogue.
