This $900 Chun-Li Figure From Street Fighter Will Blow You Away
The fanbase is strong enough that some of its most hardcore fans are willing to shell out exorbitant amounts of money for any and all merchandise related to the franchise.
Street Fighter has been around been around for as long as I can remember. My childhood was built on being at the arcade and seeing a line build up while one person absolutely dominates the machine. Each iteration seems to inspire even more impressive feats and along the way its built a strong fan base. The fanbase is strong enough that some of its most hardcore fans are willing to shell out exorbitant amounts of money for any and all merchandise related to the franchise. Luckily for them, companies like Pop Culture Shock Collectibles are here to serve. Their latest offering is a 30" Chun-Li figure made with exquisite detail and a price that might make your eyes water.
Before we get to that bit, here's a look at the figures they've announced.
The Devil (And Price Tag) Is In The Details
Pop Culture Shock will be releasing three variants of the Chun-Li figure to celebrate her long tenure in #StreetFighter. Priced at $900 each, each figure will receive a limited of about 325 figures.
Included in the price tag is the figure itself, a tailored fabric costume, and a certificate of authenticity to help prove that you just dropped $900 on the real deal.
Coming Not That Soon
The figures are slated for release around the fourth quarter of 2018 so it'll be a while before you can get your hands on them. Pre-orders aren't up yet (I checked), but once they are you can grab them directly from Pop Culture Shock Collectibles' website. They also made an announcement on their Facebook page promising a full reveal via their newsletter on Sunday, May 14th. So if you decide to skip out on that Mother's Day gift, at least you can forward the newsletter to your mom so she knows the reason why she's so disappointed in you.
They'll be doing more sneak peaks of the figures throughout the week leading up to their big reveal on Sunday.
